today, three very happy things happened...
First, I am very excited tonight because I had a mini photography lesson from my neighbor down the street. He taught me how to use my Canon Rebel XTi that I got for Christmas last year and haven't learned to use the way I should have. Now I know how to turn it off of automatic, and adjust levels (like f-stop and Tv) and take better pictures! I am so excited. Of course, it was only the tip of the iceberg, but it is a start. I can't wait to play around with my new-found knowledge! Here are a few that I took tonight--one is of my nativity set up, which is a little blurry, but I love the way the lighting turned out. The other is a close-up of my tree.

The second really wonderful thing is that my new front-loading washer and dryer were delivered this morning, and now I can catch up on the loads and loads of laundry that I am behind on. I guess this is the most excited I have been about doing laundry, probably ever. When The Guy and I were shopping for them, I told him that I wanted a super capacity washer, and all he said was, "that means we'll just have bigger piles of laundry sitting on our bed." To which I replied, "at least there will be fewer piles."

This is what mine look like, except I opted for white since they were a little cheaper, plus they match my completely barren and white laundry room. That is a project waiting to happen.
And lastly, I bought the Josh Groban Christmas CD today and have been loving it. His voice is amazing. I love the first track, Silent Night. Check it out if you haven't already.
