I love this

A while back i bought some items in the NieNie day auctions.  One of the auctions I won was from the uber- talented Denise Sharp who makes the sweetest vintage inspired candy containers, paper tiaras and cake toppers.  She is amazing.  I've admired her since seeing her amazing eiffel tower candy boxes. So when she put some items up for bid on her blog, I was all over this heart glitter box and key.  It's so lovely.

The box has a new home on my dresser and everytime I look at it, I smile.

When my package arrived, she also included some letterpress cards from her etsy shop.  

Denise is oozing with talent and creativity. Occasionally she shares gift wrapping tips and ideas.  How would you like to receive this?

Genius idea...

If you've never read Danyelle's blog, you should. She has oodles of creativity & energy as the mother of 4 young children + one on the way. Her Etsy shop is fabulous, and she throws the most amazing parties. And I have been the recipient of her thoughtfulness (and craftiness)--lucky me!

And she has a genius idea for Christmas.  Check it out here, but it is a great idea to SIMPLIFY your Christmas shopping and spending, and making Christmas more meaningful for your kids.  I am definitely following her lead this year.

I got mail...

Last week, I received a surprise package in the mail! It was from my swap partner, sweet Danyelle, who sent me this thank you for the items I had sent to her. So thoughtful...and so absolutely lovely. This is what she sent:

I love unexpected surprises, especially when they look like this! Danyelle is so very crafty and creative and made the butterflies from an old anthropology catalog. She also has an etsy shop where she sells calling cards, push pins, adorable tags, pillow boxes. Be sure to check out her shop!

Look what the mailman brought me!

First off, let me start by saying that I am ready for spring. No more snow, please! When the snowflakes started appearing around 2 this afternoon, I wanted to scream.

And then I heard my doorbell. And it was the mailman with a package for ME! Yeah! I participated in my first "swap" and I received the sweetest package from Carissa {check out her inspiring blog if you have a few minutes!}. It couldn't have come on a better day! It was so fun to open and to see what her favorite spring things are that now belong to me!
